International Workshop on Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization and Real-World Applications (EMORA)
Satellite Workshop in IBERAMIA 2026. Asunción, Paraguay November 18th, 2026
1. Workshop Title
International Workshop on Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization and Real-World Applications (EMORA)
2. Abstract
EMORA is proposed as a satellite workshop of IBERAMIA dedicated to bringing together researchers, practitioners, and graduate students working on Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization (EMO) and its application to challenging real-world problems. The workshop will provide a forum for presenting novel algorithms, hybrid optimization methods, benchmarking studies, and practical applications in engineering, artificial intelligence, healthcare, logistics, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and other domains. EMORA aims to strengthen the Ibero-American research community by encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting the transfer of optimization techniques to real-world applications.
3. Motivation
Many scientific and engineering problems involve multiple conflicting objectives that must be optimized simultaneously. EMO has become one of the most successful paradigms for addressing these challenges because of its ability to approximate diverse Pareto-optimal solutions without requiring strong assumptions about the search space. Although the field has matured considerably, there is a growing demand for exchanging experiences on practical deployments and emerging application domains. EMORA seeks to complement the main IBERAMIA program by providing a focused venue where methodological advances and impactful applications can be discussed together.
